Today we rode from Union Station to the Marble Quarry campsite.
Train ride went smoothly although our ride in D.C. was a bit
dicey at times. The C+O has been beautiful so far! Lots of
different terrains and some really breath taking view points. We
saw a lot of herons, deer (one bouced ahead of us on the trail
for a while), a fox and an owl.
We camped with a couple from TN (Lisa and Tim) who were really
nice. I walked idown to the Potamic when we got in and saw deer
tracks, felt really nice to swim a bit in the river. There were
mating butterflies and some craw dads. Mulberry and honeysuckle
are in bloom. Feeling strong and good.
